Our Production
Our production, Fear Inside featured two characters, Charlie and Alex. The story starts off with the two character talking bout about the article about an old man who died and then Charlie asks Alex what her biggest fear is, in which she responds with clowns and the reason behind it. The friends then go their separate ways until Charlie sees Alex and creeps up on her with a clown face on a piece of paper hiding her face. Afterward they talk about Charlie helping Alex pack on Friday. The scene cuts to it being Friday and Charlie is late turning up to Alex's house. Alex keeps hearing noises in her house, the noises get louder and she turns around to see someone standing behind her in a clown mask holding a knife. You can see a reflection Alex's face in the knife.
Our Roles in the production
Unfortunately there were only three of us in our production team as everyone else was busy making their films. In our production Olivia and I we acting. Olivia played the role of Alex and I played the role of Charlie. Maisies's role in the production was to Direct, operate the camera and also the sound. As a team I think we worked very well together considering we were short of crew we managed to make things work and we all supported each other, especially Maisie as it was her film idea and we were determined to make it work with only the three of us. Although our film might not be the best as a team we know we tried our best and that we learnt it's important to work well as a team in order to get things complete.
What went well?
I feel in our production the use of different camera angles and techniques went quite well. We had a range of camera angles from close ups, medium close ups, developing shots, over the shoulder shots, pans, tilts and many more.
Shots and Camera Techniques used
Our shots ranged from Big close ups, close ups, medium close ups, medium shots, longs shots, low angle shots and very long shots. In the close ups of the glass of water and the knife you can just about see a dark reflection of the antagonist in the glass and in the knife we can see the reflection of Alex's face.
What didn't go so well?
During the production many things didn't work out. We were always short of crew which meant Maisie had to direct, operate the camera and do sound at the same time which was quite difficult for her, while Olivia and I were acting.
In the final piece the sound was quite poor due to the fact we were short of crew and had no one else to operate the sound but Maisie. As Maisie was operating more than one piece of equipment it was hard for her to capture the sound perfectly and get the boom closer to the actors. Other things that didn't go well was the fact that our film was meant to be at least 5 minute long but we only had around 2 minutes of footage because we could not film all the scenes we wanted.

How could we improve for next time?
Next time we film we could improve by asking more people to help us and prepare schedule dates weeks in advanced so that the crew is organised and we won't have to result in one person operating everything. We could also plan the scenes and footage we want to get so we know what we are filming and we will use different camera techniques and angles in order for more interesting scenes.
